In each international transport movement, every detail counts for the success of the operation.

When it comes to coordinating the international transportation of a commercial aircraft engine valued at more than 7 million USD, every detail becomes crucial to meet the quality that an airline requires.

In today’s story, you will see how our international team of expedited aerospace logistics experts planned and executed a Time Critical Cargo movement  of a Boeing 737-300 engine from Mexico City to Miami.

About our client

“As of today, the airline is one of the most popular brands in Argentina, with all its flights fully booked,” states Cynthia Sepp, Commercial Leader in Latin America at epGroup Argentina.

First low-cost airline in the country, it is also a regional airline with routes in Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.

The company is a great commercial success story for its recovery after the pandemic. The airline has already flown more than 6 million passengers since the beginning of its operations and was the proud owner of 12 own aircrafts at the beginning of 2023, with plans to incorporate five other airplanes throughout the year.

The challenge

To succeed in their expansion plan, the airline’s team knows that it is essential to keep operations running smoothly.

An important part of this daily challenge is to carefully comply with the maintenance schedule of all the equipment, in a timely manner, to not delay any takeoff.

In today’s story, this expedited aerospace logistics operation had one more challenge: using our capacity to offering additional services when designing tailored operations to secure a 7 million USD engine, in a move from Mexico City (IATA: MEX) to Miami (IATA: MIA).

The solution

Our teams specialized in Expedited Aerospace Logistics in Argentina, Mexico, and the  United States joined forces and their expertise by designing tailored solutions – including insurance for the full value of the engine, in record time.

By having top partnerships with the most reliable airlines and global insurers, we managed to schedule the first available departure using an Air Priority (Next Flight Out) solution.

The airline was guaranteed a high level of communication with epGroup by relying on a team that provides local attention with global capacity.

The movement had real-time follow-up all over the door-to-door journey between shippers and consignees – the MRO service providers in Mexico and Miami.

Our own SOP for the Aerospace Division – All our operations dedicated to the Aerospace Industry follow every single detail of a specialized Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Besides reinforcing delivery times, following an SOP gives our clients the peace of mind of a very strict quality control.

Why should the Aerospace Industry partner with EP America to build tailored expedited aerospace logistics plans

We are close to the customer. We understand their needs and their markets,” she concludes.
