We are looking for a Air / Sea Freight Specialist to join our team. As a Freight Specialist, you will ensure the competitive offer of our services and products, consolidating sales and operations team performance, as well as develop vendors and carriers. If you’re interested, keep reading:
What you’ll do:
Create a relationship with key strategic vendors and consolidate a portfolio with updated rates, negotiations, and contacts.
Define and implement strategies to develop services/solutions from the US to the rest of the world, collaborating with international company offices.
To identify, select and develop vendors ensuring lane competitiveness through long relationship with vendors.
To understand the wide array of carriers that are available and their capabilities in order to match them to the Customers’ needs.
To negotiate special rate, terms and benefits that encourage the attraction of new business from all group sales teams.
To join Sourcing Leader in the project plan of creating Sourcing Capabilities (POCT) with a co-responsibility in equal shares.
Carrier and vendors evaluations, resulting on renegotiations and contract management, with a top priority on the Segment Strategy, but not limitative.
Liason, between carriers and vendors and our different internal teams for a win-win resolution of the possible challenges that came up during businesses.
Hybrid role in Houston, TX with high flexibility.
Full time schedule: 8 am to 5 pm
Bachelor’s in Logistics, International Trade & Business, Global Trade, Supply Chain or similar.
At least 5 years of experience in: Logistics, vendor/carrier attraction and development, OTR dispatch, international operations.
Knowledge of FMC, IAC, IATA, FMCSA Compliance
Best if you have worked with Salesforce and Revenova (CRM and TMS).
Spanish proficiency is desirable.
Flexible, collaborative, self-starting and highly organized.
Lead by example and manage diverse workforce focused on results.
Highly self-motivated, organized, analytical, and possess both outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
